The great Philanthropist, a visionary industrialist and the founder of Ramco Group of Industries, Shri. P.A.C.Ramasamy Raja established P.A.C.RAMASAMY RAJA EDUCATION CHARITY TRUST on 30.08.1950 with the Motto of uplifting the children of working class in and around Rajapalayam by providing quality education.
P.A. Chinniah Raja Memorial Higher Secondary School was established on 09.06.1950 by our Founder Shri.P.A.C.Ramasamy Raja in the august presence of Hon’ble Shri.P.S.Kumarasamy Raja, Former Chief Minister of Madras Province. This school was started with 10 Teachers and 243 Students in 1950 and then it was upgraded to Higher Secondary School in the academic year 1978-1979. Since its inception, it serves as a reliable light house of providing knowledge in our Virudhunagar district.
At present, 2400 students from VI to XII std are studying in both English and Tamil medium with 81 teachers and 11 office staff members . Among 78 teachers, 53 teachers are working in regular Government aided appointment and 25 teachers have been appointed by the Trust. Every year, our students are shining with the commendable performance in Curricular, Co-Curricular and Extra curricular activities.This School celebrated its Diamond Jubilee on 05.12.2010 .
In order to develop the academic skills of the students, our school has been equipped with two separate computer laboratories for junior and senior students with 100 computers. The special teachers have been appointed by our Management to assist the students to excel in computer skills and Spoken English skills.
Our school is fully committed for all round development of students so as to make them successful citizens of the future.
Every year our X, XI & XII std students come out with flying colours in the Government Board Examinations and our students bring many laurels in the sports and games activities as well. Among the schools of Rajapalayam, the students of our school, have bagged many prizes in arts, science and cultural competitions, conducted now and then in our district. Many students-service units like NSS, NCC, JRC, NGC, SCOUT and Literary clubs are actively functioning in our school.
As the first of its kind in the Tamilnadu state, our benevolent Management has implemented a comprehensive Waste Management System - Garbology in our school in co-ordination with Aurovil, Pondichery. During the past two years , we have taken meticulous efforts to create awareness among the students on Garbology , so that our school remains as a plastic free premises.
To add a new golden feather to the crown of our school, Atal Tinkering Laboratory , funded by Nithi Ayog, Government of India, has been established in our school since from the year 2019. Our ATL activities kindle the scientific temperament among tender brains of the students. They are being groomed with innovative ideas in doing science projects which will be relevant to the society.
